Nothing Gold Can Stay

My recent obsession is swaptree.com. It's a website where you can trade books, CDs, DVDs, and video games with other people across the country. You make a list of the stuff you have to trade and swaptree matches you with people that have the stuff you want. All you pay for is postage, which is usually around $3. Pretty sweet, right?

Since I signed up in June, I've traded 31 items and according to swaptree, I've saved $179 and decreased my carbon footprint by 245 pounds! My favorite trade is my beat-up, yellowed copy of The Outsiders with the tuff 80's cover art.

Unfortunately, swaptree has not cured me of my addiction to Barnes and Noble and Oregon-based Powell's Books . . . .
